Turbo-Charged FireGL X2-256t Graphics Accelerator Now Available in HP’s xw4100 Workstations

(TSX: ATY, NASDAQ: ATYT) announced today that its entire lineup of FireGL(tm) workstation graphics accelerators has been selected by HP for their xw4100 workstations. With graphics options from entry-level to high-end, HP customers can now choose the right graphics solution to meet the demands of professional CAD and DCC applications running on both desktop and mobile platforms. As the latest addition to the FireGL family, the 256MB FireGL(tm) X2-256t joins the entry-level FireGL(tm) T2-128 and the mid-range FireGL(tm) X1-128 in delivering robust 3D performance for OpenGL and DirectX 9 applications at a fraction of the cost of competing products.

The award-winning FireGL products are currently available with HP’s xw4100 IA-32 workstations and are certified for the leading DCC and CAD applications, such as 3dsmax(tm), Maya(tm), Softimage(tm), SolidWorks(tm), AutoCAD(tm) and Catia(tm). ATI’s FireGL family of products are supported by a unified driver, facilitating cost-effective system administration and upgrades.

The FireGL X2-256t features 256MB of DDR memory, dual DVI-I output and a visual processing unit with eight parallel pixel processors and four geometry engines. All FireGL products come with a three year warranty and unlimited direct access to a dedicated workstation technical support team.
